Mathumo is a math app where children learn by doing: moving blocks, filling ten frames and walking number lines, one small step at a time, from counting to 5 up to numbers to 1,000.
Ages 4 to 8 · iPhone and iPad

Every idea starts with things to move: counters, blocks, shapes. Pictures come next, and written sums last.
The first time a new kind of activity appears, Mathumo shows how it works. Then your child tries, and that try is never marked.
A mistake brings a hint: a highlight, a first step, a simpler model. No harsh sounds, no penalties.
Sessions of 5, 10 or 15 minutes mix new learning with review, so skills stick.
Four sections for ages 4 to 8, in order. Children start where the placement puts them and can always go back to replay a lesson. Sections for ages 8 to 14 come in future updates.

Mathumo is for children aged 4 to 8: from preschool and kindergarten to second grade in the US, and from Reception to Year 3 in England. A short placement at the start finds where your child is.
Not yet. Mathumo is made for iPhone and iPad, running iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. An Android version is planned for later.
No ads. Your child’s learning progress stays on your device, and the app works offline.
Mathumo is built on US standards: Common Core for kindergarten to grade 2, and Head Start for preschool. Lessons run in order from counting to 5 up to numbers to 1,000.
