Math curriculum for ages 4 to 8
Mathumo teaches math as one journey in four sections, from counting to 5 at age 4 up to numbers to 1,000 at age 8. It is built on US standards: Common Core (K–2) and Head Start (Preschool). Sections for ages 8 to 14 follow in future updates.
Children never see grade names in the app, only “Section 1” to “Section 4”. A short placement at the start finds where each child is, so a 6-year-old who is ready for more can move ahead, and a child who needs more time is never labelled as behind.
Year names on this site are England’s school years. Scotland and Northern Ireland use P1 to P7, and Wales has its own curriculum, so the site names England only. Mathumo is built on US standards.
