Mathumo app privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-11-07

Mathumo is a math app for children aged 4 to 8. It is built to collect as little as possible: no ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics and no accounts.

Who is responsible

Mathumo is published on the App Store by its developer, who is named on the app’s App Store page. mathumo.academy runs this website and answers questions about the app and your data at support@mathumo.academy.

What stays on your device

Your child’s learning progress, the settings, the optional nickname and the answers a parent gives during setup are stored only on the device. They are included in your device’s own encrypted backup if you use one. We never receive them, and deleting the app deletes them.

What leaves your device

Daily reminders, if a parent turns them on, are scheduled on the device. Mathumo doesn’t use the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.

Who we share data with

Only Apple and RevenueCat, only for purchases, as above. Both process it on our behalf and protect it at least as well as this policy does. We don’t sell data, and nothing is used for advertising.

Children

Mathumo is in the App Store’s Kids Category. It does not collect personal information from children, in line with COPPA and the UK and EU rules for children’s data. Purchases, links out of the app and the parents’ area are behind a parental gate.

How long we keep data, and your rights

Data on the device stays until you delete the app. Purchase records are kept as long as the subscription and the law require. Feedback emails are kept until you ask us to delete them. To ask what we hold or to delete it, write to support@mathumo.academy; we reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
